We have a quick guide with tips on what you can do for your baby's teeth at different stages, from newborn to 4 years old.
NEWBORN
Babies’ mouths deserve dental attention, even before teeth are visible. A Brushie makes the best baby toothbrush, which parents can use while bonding with their baby, to gently clean gums and tongue twice a day.
BABY
Starting early with The Brushies helps transition kids comfortably to the brushing process and new oral sensations.
TODDLER
When teeth emerge, the fronts, backs and crevices between all teeth, should be scrubbed with a Brushie, angling toward the gumline to attack plaque. Encourage kids to try brushing their own teeth, but always follow-up with 2 minutes of quality brushing.
THE GOOD NEWS?
NEARLY ALL TOOTH DECAY CAN BE PREVENTED!
✔️ The Australian Dental Association (ADA) recommends that children visit the dentist by their first birthday, or when their first tooth becomes visible.
✔️ From the age of 18 months, you can begin using a small amount of toothpaste when brushing your child’s teeth. (Make sure they spit it out after brushing!) Consult with your dentist or doctor regarding the use of fluoride toothpaste and look for ones that are safe to swallow.
✔️ Always brush twice a day and for two minutes at a time.
✔️ If you and your child are struggling to be able to get teeth brushed effectively, The Brushies might just be what you need!
